"The Grey Cell" was created by Gady Weissbert, an actor and screenwriter, who decided to fulfill a childhood dream. "Ever since I was little I have loved detective books - Agatha Christie, Sherlock Holmes, everything I could find. In my adult life as an actor, screenwriter and producer, I often wanted to produce 'Murder dinners', a familiar and successful concept in England and the United States. Covid19 opened an opportunity for me - murder mysteries that take place on line. I immediately sat down to write."
The first mystery that Gady wrote "Murder mansion", aired on September 2020 and was an immediate success. It turns out that many people agree with Gady that solving a mystery is a great way to spend an evening and while engaging your brain gray cells.
The design of the mysteries (and the website) is run by Shuki Weissbert, Gady's brother. The mysteries for children are written and moderated by Sharon Weissbert, Gady's wife, making the "grey cell" a family business that benefits from theft and murder. Just like the Corleone family.
